If I told you I knew the key to your becoming a successful and prosperous person, would you be interested knowing it? Well then you better keep reading.
Genesis 39:2 (AMP) says the Lord was with Joseph, and he [even though a slave] became a successful and prosperous man; and he was in the house of his master, the Egyptian.
Let's look closer, the Lord was with Joseph, and he became a successful and prosperous man. Are you a person of faith that has accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, if the answer is yes the Lord is with you too and will cause you to become a successful and prosperous person as well.
The point is that if you are walking with God and living according to His ways, God promises to cause you to succeed and prosper in this life.
Psalm 1:1-3 says, Blessed is the man that walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful. 2. But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. 3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he does shall prosper.
Again if you live your life by the word of God you can take this scripture as a personal promise and begin to expect whatever you do to prosper. Faith is believing that the word of God is true and that it applies to you.
You're going to prosper because you take the time you study, meditate and do the word. Let's look at, Joshua 1:8 (KJV) which says, This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
Wow, you should be excited right about now. You just read the secret to becoming prosperous and successful. But It still get's better. God also promised that He would teach you how to profit in life. Look at Isaiah 48:17 (AMP) which says, This is what the Lord, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel says, “I am the Lord your God, who teaches you to profit (benefit),
Who leads you in the way that you should go.
It should be clear now, as a Christian who follows the ways and the teaching of Christ, God is going to teach you how to profit in your life. It may be your business, your ministry, your career, your relationships etc; just know there are many ways and areas for God to bring profit to you as you walk with Him.
You may be asking yourself why is God doing this? The answer is simply God takes pleasure in prospering His people! Read Psalm 35:27 (KJV) Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favour my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the Lord be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant.
PROSPERITY is - Advance or gain in any thing good or desirable; successful progress in any business or enterprise; success!
Now take a look at, Psalm 112:1-3 e (AMP)
112 Praise the Lord! (Hallelujah!)
Blessed [fortunate, prosperous, and favored by God] is the man who fears the Lord [with awe-inspired reverence and worships Him with obedience],
Who delights greatly in His commandments. 2 His descendants will be mighty on earth;
The generation of the upright will be blessed. 3 Wealth and riches are in his house,
And his righteousness endures forever.
Stop and say this aloud: I am fortunate, prospered and favored by God because I reverence and worship Him.
I want you to get this in your spirit. God is a good God, and He will bless those who respect and acknowledge Him as God. In fact, the blessing of the Lord will cause you to become rich.
Proverbs 10:22 New International Version (NIV)
22 The blessing of the Lord brings wealth,
without painful toil for it
Look at the same verse in the Amplified Bible
Proverbs 10:22
The blessing of the Lord brings [true] riches,
And He adds no sorrow to it [for it comes as a blessing from God].
