Could you use a faithful friend in your life? Someone who is there whenever you need them to be; in good times, sad times, hard or bad times. Someone who encourages, comforts, gives you strength when you're weak and has the ability to make you believe that everything is going to be all right!
I've got some good news for you, God is that "Faithful Friend" you truly need.
Deuteronomy 7:9 (NIV) says,
Know therefore that the Lord your God is God; he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commandments.
God is the faithful and He as promised to love you with an everlasting love.
Lamentations 3:22-23 (ESV)
22 The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases;[a] his mercies never come to an end; 23 they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.
You can depend on the steadfast faithful love of God in your life, no matter what the situation or circumstance you are currently involved in. You don't have to earn it. You don't have to "get" your life together before you receive it.
God's faithfulness also includes His loyalty to all those who love and look to Him.
Psalm 36:5 Expanded Bible (EXB) says, Lord, your ·love [loyalty; covenant love] ·reaches [extends] to the heavens, your ·loyalty [faithfulness] to the skies
When someone is loyal to you, they'll never leave or forsake you. They'll always be in your corner. They'll always want what is best for you. That's who God desire's to be to in your life.
Psalm 100:5 says, For the Lord is good;
his steadfast love endures forever,
and his faithfulness to all generations.
Have you every experienced unconditional- never ending love? That's what God's steadfast love is. It's a love that loves you in spite of your mistakes and failures. It's a love that loves you on your best day as well as your worst day. It's a love that you don't have to perform to receive.
God is not a person. People can love you today and dislike or even hate you tomorrow, there's a good chance you may have experienced that in your own life; however, that's not the nature of God.
Numbers 23:19 (EXB) says,God is not a human being, and he will not lie.
He is not a human, and he does not change his mind.
What he says he will do, ·he does [L?will he not do it?].
What he promises, ·he makes come true [L?will he not fulfill it/make it come true?].
God keeps His word and one of things His word says, is that His love for you is steadfast.
God's word also promises protection (Psalms 91), healing ( Isaiah 53:5) , prosperity (Psalm 112), and so much more. As you walk in the word of God you can expect to receive all these promises.
Hebrews 10:23 Amplified Bible (AMP) says, Let us seize and hold tightly the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is reliable and trustworthy and faithful [to His word];
God's faithfulness in your life also brings protection. Psalm 91:4 (ESV) says, He will cover you with his pinions, and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness is a shield and buckler.
It's my prayer that you won't go another day without the "Faithful Friend" in your life. You can depend on God's love, loyalty, provision and protection everyday. Simply open your heart and receive Him right now! Trust me you won't regret it.
