God Has a Good Plan for You! That' right I said it.
I don't know what's going on in your life right now friend but perhaps you are at a crossroads or a place where you are uncertain about what lies ahead of you in life; but I want to you to be encouraged today, because God knows who you are and exactly what He has planned for your future.
I'd like to share one of my many favorite scriptures Jeremiah 29:11 because it gives me such peace regarding my future, and I know if you'll take a couple of minutes to meditate it that the same will happen for you.
I always read scriptures that I am meditating on in multiple translations so that I get a full rich understanding of the verse in order to apply it towards my life, so I've decided to list several translations in this article, I'll start with the King James Version as foundation as many people are familiar with it and then go forward from there drawing out what each new translation reveals concerning Gods plans for us!
Here we go Jeremiah 29:11 (KJV) says, For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
God's thinking peace towards you and your future not evil. Chew on that.
Now let's look at the Contemporary English Version - Jeremiah 29:11 (CEV) says
I will bless you with a future filled with hope—a future of success, not of suffering.
I really like that one....God will bless you! Not might, not maybe..God will bless you and your future will be filled with hope and success not suffering! Chew on that.
Next let's look at the Living Bible translation - Jeremiah 29:11 (TLB) says For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord. They are plans for good and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.
Wow, God's plans for you are good, not evil! That's something you need to remind yourself of periodically especially when negative things try to manifest. Open up your mouth and say God's plans for my life and future are good not evil!
We're not done yet, let's look at the Amplified Bible - Jeremiah 29:11 (AMP)
11 For I know the plans and thoughts that I have for you,’ says the Lord, ‘plans for peace and well-being and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.
Okay, this just get's better and better, God's plan for your life includes peace and well-being and not disaster!
And finally let's look at what the Expanded Translation says Jeremiah 29:11 (EXB)
11 I say this because I know ·what [L the plans] I am planning for you,” says the Lord. “I have ·good plans for you [L plans for your peace/security], not plans ·to hurt you [L for your harm]. I will give you hope and a good future.
By now you should be extremely encouraged about your future! God has good plans for you of peace and security not hurt or harm. A future filled with hope! A good future and expected end.
As people of faith and Christian-Believers the promises in the Word of God are for us. We are to take the word of God, read it, meditate it and pray it over our lives and God will do the rest.
