Confidence Through The Roof!

Hey friend, if you're like me, you're believing God to do some big things in your life this year and the years to come. As a person of faith, I'm sure you have prayed and asked God to lead, guide and provide you with resources both spiritual and natural to accomplish those things which are in your heart! But here's where some of us begin to get a little shaky, when those prayers have not yet been answered. When we are in the in the middle, you know waiting to receive the answers or the manifestation of those requests. Well it's in those times that we must not lose hope or confidence in God's ability to bring His word to pass.

This is what's known to many as fighting the good fight of faith. 1 Timothy 6:12 (NIV) Fight the good fight of the faith. The faith battle is a battle that takes place our minds when we are waiting to receive the answers to our prayers. The spiritual pressure to give up, cave in or quit. Or maybe it would better be described as the temptation to cast off your confidence. I am writing this post to encourage that if you have found yourself close to that point; it's not too late to gird yourself in the word of God! Here are some of the scriptures to help under-gird your faith and confidence. Take them and meditate over next few days, weeks, or however long you need to, just don't faint. Remember that you need faith and patience to inherit the promises of God.

Hebrews 6:11-12 (KJV) says, And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end, 12 That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.

When we are speaking about inheriting the promises, we mean receiving the promise, those things you are believing God for in your life. So, if the promise hasn't shown up yet, you have to be patience. You can't give up. You can't lose hope. Let's look at Hebrews 10:35 (GW) says, So don’t lose your confidence. It will bring you a great reward.

You don't lose your confidence because it's in God. Not in the circumstances or the situations that you are currently facing. Psalm 25:2 (AMP) says, O my God, in You I [have unwavering] trust [and I rely on You with steadfast confidence], Do not let me be ashamed or my hope in You be disappointed.

Did you know that you can unwavering and completely trust God to bring His word to pass in your life? Because Psalm 28:7 (AMP) says, The Lord is my strength and my [impenetrable] shield; My heart trusts [with unwavering confidence] in Him, and I am helped; Therefore my heart greatly rejoices, And with my song I shall thank Him and praise Him.

You may be dealing with fear, but it's okay you can beat it. Don't let fear, doubt, and unbelief stay in your heart. Those are arrows from the enemy. Lift up your shield of faith. It is an impenetrable shield and let your confidence become sure and unwavering. How do you lift your shield of faith? By doing what you're doing right now. Getting into the word of God. Speaking it. Meditating on verses like Psalm 37:3 (AMP) which says, Trust [rely on and have confidence] in the Lord and do good; Dwell in the land and feed [securely] on His faithfulness.

You know that you can rely on and have confidence in the Lord to do you good. You know that the Lord has good plans for your life. You can trust His plan for you completely and unwavering; why because of His faithfulness. Hebrews 10:23 (GW) says, We must continue to hold firmly to our declaration of faith. The one who made the promise is faithful.

Did you get that? God made the promise to you and God is faithful to keep His promise. So you have got to continue to hold firmly to your faith. Do not cast it aside. For instance if you prayed for healing, don't say, I prayed about my health, but I still feel sick, so I guess God didn't or isn't going to heal me. Those are the fiery darts of the enemy sent against your faith. When that happens you must hold firmly to your declaration of faith like this one By the stripes of Jesus Christ I am healed! This is how you gird up the loins of your mind. This is how you build your confidence back up.

Let's continue to build our confidence. Did you know that our God is the confidence of all the ends of the earth! Psalm 65:5 (KJV) says ,By terrible things in righteousness wilt thou answer us, O God of our salvation; who art the confidence of all the ends of the earth, and of them that are afar off upon the sea: Wow, now that's a lot of confidence don't you think?

Another way to build your confidence is to remember what God did for you in the past. Look at Psalm 78:7 (EXB) So they would ·all trust [L?place their trust/confidence in] God and would not forget what he had done. I encourage you to take some time to think about what God has done for you. If you need to, go get a pad a paper out and jot down things that you prayed for before and how God came through! This let's you know your faith works! This is definitely a confident builder.

Also, a part of fearing or respecting God is having confidence in Him. Proverbs 14:26 (EXB) says, Those who ·respect [fear] the Lord will have ·security [or confidence], and their children will ·be protected [have a refuge].

I encourage you to also remind yourself that because you are a Christian, you have a special relationship with God. That relationship gives you confidence that He hears and will answer your prayers. As righteous people, people who are in right standing with God through Jesus Christ. Proverbs 14:32 (AMP) says, The wicked is overthrown through his wrongdoing, But the righteous has hope and confidence and a refuge [with God] even in death.

So as I am bring this post to a close your confidence in the Lord should be returning right? Let me give you one more scripture Proverbs 22:19 (AMP) says, So that your trust and reliance and confidence may be in the Lord, I have taught these things to you today, even to you.

That truly sums it friends, I am sharing these scriptures today so that your trust and confidence may grow in the Lord. As you take time to meditate on scriptures like these I can guarantee your confidence is going to grow , better yet, God will guarantee it grows, and even goes through the roof! Yes it will go to higher level! You will develop the kind of confidence that will bring great rewards into your life; you know all those things you are desiring and believing God to do for you this year and in the years to come.

God bless you, until next time.
