I know you're a Believer but have you found your faith faltering or are you dealing with doubt and bit of unbelief? Don't be discouraged here are some scriptures to help you get your faith built up so that you may receive all of God's promises!

1) Jude 1:20 (KJV) But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost.

Taking time to pray is always an effective way to build up your faith!

Another way to build up your faith is to review how the Bible defines faith. Look at Hebrews 11:1-3. I have personally found that it is extremely helpful to read this passage in multiple translations. I'll give you two in this article.

2) Hebrews 11:1-3 King James Version (KJV)

11 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

2 For by it the elders obtained a good report. 3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.

Now here it is in the NIV below:

3) Hebrews 11:1-3 (Faith in Action)

11 Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. 2 This is what the ancients were commended for. 3 By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible.

As you meditate those verses on faith your heart will be encouraged and faith will arise on the inside of you.

Another great verse reveals that Jesus is the High Priest of our confession of faith!

4) Hebrews 4:14-15 Expanded Bible (EXB)

Jesus Is Our High Priest

14 [L?Therefore] Since we have a great high priest [2:17–18], Jesus the Son of God, who has ·gone into [ascended to; or passed through] ·heaven [or the heavens], let us hold ·on [firmly] to ·the faith we have [L?the confession/profession; C?of our faith]. 15 ·For our high priest is able [L?For we do not have a high priest who is unable] to ·understand [sympathize with] our weaknesses. He was tempted in every way that we are, but he did not sin.

Not only is Jesus our High Priest he is also the author and finisher of our faith!

If we are find ourselves focusing on the problems, the challenges, the issues of every day life we simply must get our focus back on Jesus!

5) Hebrews 12:1-2 King James Version (KJV)

12 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, 2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Since I am talking about building up our faith, let me add that the word of God tells us that the just (those who are justified or in right standing with God because of our faith in Jesus) shall live by faith.

6) Galatians 2:16 New International Version (NIV)

16 know that a person is not justified by the works of the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ. So we, too, have put our faith in Christ Jesus that we may be justified by faith in[a] Christ and not by the works of the law, because by the works of the law no one will be justified.

Say this - I am not justified by the works of the law, but by my faith in Jesus Christ!

(When you speak the word out of your mouth it activates in your life.)

When talking about faith we should also remember Abraham.

7) Galatians 3:6-7 New International Version (NIV)

6 So also Abraham “believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness.”[a] 7 Understand, then, that those who have faith are children of Abraham.

Say this - because I have faith am a child of Abraham!

Well my friend I guarantee as you continue to mediate on these verses you will build your faith up.

Until next time.
